About Tim Hege
I am originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in May 1990. I have been in the mortgage industry since 1992. I feel that this industry is both very challenging and very rewarding. It is very challenging in the fact that we are continually growing with the many new products that come out every year. The rewards for me is seeing the smiling faces and joy of families after the purchase of their first home and realizing that I took part in helping them obtain their dream home.
Although the tools that I use to serve my clients have changed, my prime mission has not. That mission is to serve my client's needs with the best products and price in the marketplace, and to be a guide and counselor for my client through the process. Technological advances in my industry have streamlined much of what was once a cumbersome process. But technology without personalized service is an empty shell. You may be applying online or communicating by email, but my bottom line and prime directive is superior customer service to you from start to finish.
I have over fifteen years of experience in mortgage banking. I monitor the US Treasury and mortgage-backed securities markets on an hourly/daily basis to be a resource to my clients on lock-in strategies.
